It was only a few weeks ago that we were seeing on television and it was only a matter of time before necessity or the need for recreation found more uses for the SHT.  The Segway Human Transporter Dumper or SHT Dumper is one such offspring.  Created by inventor/tinkerer Dick Howard, the New SHT Dumper puts fun and efficiency into the task of rolling the trash out to the curb.  Now the trip from the back of the house to the street is quicker, safer and fun.

“The SHT Dumper saves me about eight seconds per trip.  Multiply by fifty-two trips per year I'm saving about seven minutes a year.  In the winter the heat created by decomposing trash keeps me toasty on cold days, I can put the lid down (right) on rainy days and in the summer pick up a few rays with the lid open.”  Dick, pictured right, making sure he's on time for the Roanoke County trash collection.

Hose the SHT out and the SHT Dumper becomes a sporty 'round town vehicle for Dick's teenaged daughter, Gloria.  "My boyfriend loves to get in my SHT, but some of my girlfriends think the SHT stinks a little on hot days.  Like, yunno, my SHT does NOT stink, yunno . They're jealous.”

Dick and his Illegitimate Grandson of Mountain Biking in the RoVa, Ron Glowczynski, show how boys will be boys with two-wheeled vehicles in how they find a way to race the SHT Dumper.  Glowczynski races his SHT Dumper in bicycle races.  “Lance had broken away on a Category 1 climb in last month's Tour de DuDu.  I caught him and his only response as I passed him was, ' Holy SHT!' Glowczynski also added, " French racers seem to be particularly offended by the SHT Dumper, one of them calling it a ‘stoo-peed American SHT merde’.
